São Paulo – Nana Agyei-Yeboah and his family came to PACA in the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year to begin working in whatever position he was needed the most and found himself fitting into the much needed role of supervision and safety for student activities both academic and recreational during the academic school day.
Nana Agyei-Yeboah comes to PACA from his previous position working at a school in Brasilia. He and his wife, Monica, and their son moved to Sao Paulo because he saw the job offer at PACA as a great opportunity for him and his family. Now, they work together at PACA and provide a much needed service to the students.
Nana is doing other courses to focus more on his career however his only expectation for his job is that he is able to serve humanity just like God did.
Lucca Machado talks about how he feels knowing that Nana is in school and the feeling he has knowing that. Nana’s most important objective is to be able to serve others and represent God here on earth.
According to Lucca Machado, Nana does this really well and he talks about the positive impact Mr.Nana has on his daily life.
“Mr. Nana provides a feeling of safety,” said Machado, “because I know that if something happens he will always be there to protect me, and I know I can count on him for whatever I need because he is always providing us the help needed and always asks us if we are well.”
Every day, Mr. Nana walks around the school making sure that everything is doing fine. He helps students feel safe, talks to students during breaks, and makes sure everyone is following the rules. His job might seem simple, but it requires patience, attention, and care for each student.
Mr. Nana says that one of his biggest challenges is when students ignore him or respond disrespectfully.
“I have difficulties when the students do not listen to my instructions,” he explained.
Even though this can be difficult, he continues to help students with kindness and discipline, always focusing on helping them grow.
Despite the difficulties, his goals are very clear, and of course it has to do with helping his students and shaping who they are.
“My goal is to make every student confident and help them to be who God has created them to be in Christ,” he said.
For him, being a supervisor is not just about watching around, it’s about helping students become better people and helping them in their journey both in school and in life.
He also believes that students can help make his job easier by being respectful and considerate to both people around them and also to him, which is just there to help and understand them.
“When they play safely and help to make the campus safe, and when they respect others’ boundaries, it makes the job easier,” he added.
His hope is that every student understands the importance of understanding their own responsibility. Even with the challenges, Mr. Nana truly enjoys his work at PACA.
“I enjoy it a lot, because I am able to see different perspectives of different students,” he said with a smile.
Every day, he learns something new from the students and staff, which makes his work more meaningful.
Through his dedication, patience, and care, Mr. Nana has become an important part of the PACA community. His presence is always good for the community which feels safe with him.
